How It All Started
Guisel was born from a shared passion for design and a deep appreciation for the impact that carefully chosen decor can have on a home. Founded by three friends—Eero, Mikko, and Anton—while studying at the University of Helsinki, Guisel began with a simple idea: to bring thoughtfully designed, high-quality lighting into homes around the world.
As students of architecture, product design, and interior aesthetics, we often found ourselves discussing how the smallest details in a room could make the biggest difference. From those conversations, we began experimenting with the idea of creating a brand that would make well-crafted, design-forward pieces accessible to all. After countless sketches, late-night brainstorming sessions, and a few prototypes, Guisel came to life.
